Matron of Honor
Jennifer Dietrich
|
|
Kristin met Jen during Freshman move-in day at Colgate University. The two girls quickly became friends, along with a fantastic group of others that are still very close today (G.O.'s unite!). Among many other things, Kristin and Jen found a mutual love of Bon Jovi, fajitas, and Napster. The two of them have been through a lot together, good and bad, and Kristin considers herself very fortunate to have found such an amazing friend as Jen, and is honored to have her as her Matron of Honor. In addition to being one of the most genuine and caring people Kristin has ever met, she's also one of the prettiest (although Kristin's still thinks Jen should share a few extra inches with her). Originally from Erie, PA (16505), Jen now lives in Atlanta, GA with her handsome husband, Rob, and two cuddly kitties, Girlfriend and Homeboy.

As an integral part of the Rochester F&C family, Kristin is very pleased to have Steph stand up with her at her wedding. Kristin met Steph through her husband, Joshua, a fellow graduate student of Mayo Graduate School. With the surrogate F&C family, Kristin and Steph roadtripped twice to Breckenridge, CO for ski adventures and cruised the Caribbean on the Adventure of the Seas. She does a fab Roger Rabbit, makes a mean cheesecake treat, and is wonderfully reliable, both for a good laugh and for a good ear to bend. She's warm, compassionate, and always knows what's going on in the group. Another one of the prettiest gals ever, Steph could also probably stand to share a few inches with Kristin. Steph now lives in Chapel Hill, NC with her husband, their precious little dude, Marek, and the canine kids, Maggie, a shih-tzu, and Chloe, a boxer.

Kristin couldn't have asked for a better future sister-in-law than Jeff's younger sister, Chelsea. Although 4 years apart, Chelsea and Jeff are very close, and Kristin couldn't be more relieved that Jeff's sister seems to like her okay. The two gals bonded over mutual passions for fashion, shopping, yoga, pop culture, and teasing Jeff. Chelsea is a wonderfully creative, funny, and powerful woman who has much to give to the world. Of similar stature to Kristin, she's further evidence that good things come in small packages. Look out for when Kristin and Chelsea hit the dance floor together, as sometimes the awesomeness is hard to contain. A 2007 graduate of North Central College, Chelsea now lives and works in Naperville, IL, with her playful little puffball of a cat, Hobbes.

Best Man
Andy Craven

Andy and Jeff met in the spring of 1985, shortly after both of their families had moved to Wisconsin. Jeff's family had just moved into a house up the street from Andy's, and with little else for a couple of 4 year olds to do in Wausau, they took to invading each other's homes on a fairly regular basis. Both of them were quite happy to have the other around to take their respective minds off of parents, current and future siblings, as well as other everyday annoyances, and they quickly became best friends. After nearly 24 years and countless rounds of golf, Packers (and Red Sox and Brewers and Badgers and, well, you get the idea) games, and beverages of varying strengths resulting in variety of memorable outcomes (not to mention standing up at Andy's wedding back in May), Jeff couldn't be happier to still count Andy as his best friend and is honored to have him as his Best Man.

Mike and Jeff lived across the hall from each other in a positively palatial building known as Hoyme Residence Hall during their freshman year at St. Olaf College, and they quickly became friends. Despite the fact that Mike (twice) convinced Jeff that it would be a good idea to stop for lunch at the China Buffet in the middle of a run through town, they went on to room together for two of the next three years. In addition to being a great help in working through collegiate dilemmas of all sorts, Jeff has Mike to thank for greatly expanding his tastes in music and fermented hops. Mike and Jeff have found no shortage of reasons to continue to get together in the years since college, from hockey games and fantasy football wars to just getting together for dinner and playing with each other's puppies. Jeff was honored to stand up for Mike at his wedding back in 2005, and is very happy to have him as a groomsman for his own wedding.

Jeff first met Kristin's brother Jon at a Brazilian steakhouse on the outskirts of Chicago. For those who are familiar with this type of restaurant, you know there's no way to leave a meeting in such a place with anything but a good impression (your stomach might beg to differ the next day... but that's another story entirely). Jon is a great guy to talk to, and Jeff was immediately struck by his encyclopedic knowledge of all things computer- and Jimmy Buffett-related. Also, Jon is quite simply one of the most accomplished tailgating artists around (the gasoline-powered margarita mixer is sheer genius) Jeff is very much looking forward to being part of Jon's family, and is excited to have him as a groomsman in the wedding.

Josh and Jeff met while Josh was in the first year of his PhD training at the Mayo Graduate School. Over the next few months, Jeff attempted to demonstrate his prowess in poker and as a cake-tasting consultant for Josh's (then) upcoming wedding, and somehow Josh saw fit to invite Jeff along with a few other friends on a ski trip out to Colorado. Kristin and Jeff had just started dating a couple of days before this trip, but it was on this weeklong escapade that he really became convinced that she was someone special. Shortly thereafter, Jeff joined Josh's lab group at Mayo, and the two of them worked together for the next two years. Following Josh's graduation from the graduate school, Jeff drove to Chapel Hill, NC with Josh and his (then) very pregnant wife Steph to help them move into their new house. Jeff is thrilled that Josh and his family will be making the trip back to Minnesota for the wedding, and also has supreme confidence in his ability to "ush".

Justin and Jeff have been friends since 6th grade when Jeff's family relocated to the North side of Wausau. Be it on the playground at Riverview Elementary School or on high school band trips halfway across the country, they always managed to make things an adventure. Both Jeff and Justin moved to Rochester, MN, after graduating from their respective colleges to work for Mother Mayo and lived together for two never-to-be-forgotten years in the Big House at 1230 West Center St. Between hosting a couple of legendary halloween parties and heading up a take-no-prisoners kickball team, it's safe to say there is still definitely no shortage of adventures for these two. Jeff is very happy to have Justin in the wedding party, and has the utmost confidence in Justin's "ushing abilities".
